The bunny has landed

April 1, 2008 11:23 pm

We finally got our bunny tonight about 8:30. He is quite cute. We have not decided on a name for him. But the popular one is Kitty. He is 10 weeks old and we think he is a Holland Lop. The vet was not an expert on rabbits, so he is not sure of the breed. But it is obviously a lop eared rabbit.

It may be a few days before we get around to naming it. One of our hamsters is already name Fluffy. So we can’t use that for the rabbit’s name. I think something like Butch or Killer would be a good name.

So cute. I’m not sure about the name Kitty, you will give the bunny an identidy crisis before he has been with you a week. Personally I like Hoppy.

What an awesome looking bunny! Be careful though. They are contagious. We started with just 2 and now we have a barn full of rabbits! It is difficult to find a vet that knows rabbits very well, but you should try to find one that does, just in case you need that service. Stop by and visit our site sometime at Three Little Ladies Rabbitry.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Can you confirm from these pictures if our bunny is a Holland Lop? I have at least a dozen more pictures already if another angle would be a help in confirming a breed type.
