New Advertisers Spur on Lazy Bloggers

November 22, 2009 12:43 am

I am starting to look into a new way to sell ads on My Thought Spot. It is unfortunate that I have not been posting as often as I know I should. But I do have excuses. Not sure any of them are grand ones.

I am thinking that if I sign up with a new advertising group that I might be motivated to generate new content. It is not that there is nothing new in my life, I just have not slowed down enough to post about it.

Here are the advertisers I am looking at. Do you have any thoughts on them? Any to avoid at all costs? Any that I should look into that I have not mentioned?

I’m not familiar with these services, but I can speak to ads as motivation. I’ve started placing ad posts on The Sky’s the Limit. Since the posts cannot be consecutive according to my agreement with the company, it encourages me to make sure I get my regular posts written on time.

I was doing sponsored posts for a while and made tons of money at it. I was making about $100 a month but lost steam on it at one point. I should start again. Who are you using? I would have to go back and see who my sponsor was. That has been a year and a half ago I was doing it. Or, was it 2.5 years ago? Yikes. It worked, but it did take time. Since I post usually in the middle of the night, I am just losing sleep. Who needs that?

UPDATE: I looked. It has been 1.5 years since I actively did sponsored posts. I was using PayPerPost. Will look and see if my account is still active. I think they have been rebranded a couple of times.

PayPerPost is still around. I think that’s Ted Murphy’s project. He’s a great guy.

I’m not using a sponsor service on my blog. I’m working for a private client. I do use Sponsored Tweets on Twitter.
