I just ordered a copy of the book. Paperback. I will let you know what it is like when my wife gets back home with it (mid July). I should have it to take with me on a 2 week trip. I will give you my thoughts when I can after that.

Blaine, no I have not bought a copy yet. I am scheduled to be back in the US at the end of July. I have that on my shopping list to be picked up when I arrive. I will, of course, order it a week or two before I go.

Well, I am sorry that you didn't win. I also should look into buying a paperback copy; I want to see these thicker pages and higher quality images that c2cpancoast talks about...

Did you wind up buying a copy?

I am very excited about the book. After doing some more looking, the two reasons I would love to win the drawing are piqued.

I would love to read the story. I love non-fiction works about people and events (bios and real adventure). With my new found love for running, this ups my taste buds for the book.

And, the ability to get my hands on a Lulu book is exciting. I have been working on a book that I was planning to vanity publish. With Lulu in the mix, I am interested but skeptical. This will give me a chance to see how Lulu produces.

Thanks for keeping the buzz going on this.

Hi. I'm the co-author of Coast to Coast (the other authors are the rest of the team). Glad to hear you're talking about the book.

Just so you know, the pages in the hardcover book are actually thinner than the softcover. The thicker pages in the softcover book result in darker ink and better quality images. So, if you win the contest, I think you'll be happy with the quality.

Thanks for the vote of confidence in Lulu. I really hope I win this drawing. If not, I finally have a book that I am interested enough in at Lulu to put some money on.

I have a hardcover copy of the book, and I am quite happy with the quality for the most part. Some of the images are a little grainy, such as the route map, but I think a lot of that might be the original image and not necessarily the printing. The dust jacket is beautiful.

I assume the paperback version is going to be just as high of quality.
